The heart of the summer entertainment and cultural offer consists of two main events - Fishermen's Night in late July, intended to promote the Mediterranean fisherman's lifestyle and the Traditional Donkey Race held on first Sunday of August and honouring the hard-working and indigenous animal that has indebted this region with all the good it has brought to its population.
Another staple of August in Tribunj is the celebration of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, because she is the patron of their church, as well as St Nicholas, who is celebrated in December. This also marks the day of the Municipality of Tribunj.
Cultural and entertainment events in Tribunj during and outside the season are under the jurisdiction of the Municipality and the Tourist Board, but also cultural associations and societies active in Tribunj, which try to develop a rich programme filled with different concerts of classical and entertainment music, art exhibitions and poetry nights on the premises of the Tribunj Cultural Association located in the heart of the peninsula, as well as klapa concerts and summer cinema held at the summer stage, also within the peninsula.
Outside the season the activities are intended to involve the citizens, especially the young, so we organize plays and fashion shows, traditional February carnival, environmental cleaning actions in April, May and June, sports fishing cup in September and other sports and social activities.
